Kār-e dasti / کارِ دستی

In Farsi, کارِ دستی describes handmade objects, often associated with school exercises, hobbies, domestic labour, or informal production.

It carries no inherent claim to permanence or authorship, and remains outside the status of art.

As such, it is open to change, reuse, and dismantling.

It holds time without requiring a fixed purpose.

Its aesthetic emerges through available materials—modest, provisional, and often recycled, remaining open to handling and reconfiguration.
