Azahara Ubera Biedma is hosting an expression of interest for dancers, movers, and practitioners.
What appears when choreography is approached not as a fixed form, but as a landscape to wander through and experiment between mediums? This is an invitation to approach research as collective choreographies of movement, text, questions, relations, timing and scores. A proposal to move together in research.
Landscapes of Research invites dancers, movers, thinkers, listeners, and practitioners into a group process of exploration. Across four sessions, you will gather to test, share, unfold, and inhabit choreographic methodologies within the framework of an ongoing research project.
This is a space for experimentation, curiosity, and exchange: a place to try things out, to propose, to observe, to listen, to move with questions, and to be in process with others.
Azahara is interested in choreography as a way of relating between bodies, texts, languages, memories, ecologies, temporalities, and different forms of presence.
There may be moments of movement, writing, conversation, observation, rest, scores, collective thinking, and encounters.
These sessions are hosted by Azahara Ubera Biedma. Azahara Ubera Biedma is an artist and choreographer undertaking a collaborative PhD between Rose Choreographic School at S.W.E and Goldsmiths, University of London. Their research explores The 4th Plus Dimensional Materialities of the Choreographic and Queer Choreographic Ecologies through collaborative, embodied, and interdisciplinary methodologies.
